Dog Meetups (self.Austin)
submitted 1 year ago by ponyup
My girlfriend and I just adopted a Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix and she loves to play. We took her (Tegan) to the dog park off Riverside and although there were only two other small dogs there, she loved it. Are there any better dog parks around, or where would be a good place to take her? She's super adventurous and thinks she's twice her actual size. Although i'll be out of town for a week or two it would be awesome to get her around other dogs and get her socialized more.

FYI here is a link from a previous thread identifying several dog parks in Austin. Thank you for adopting!

A bit out of the way, but there is a FANTASTIC dog park called Cedar Bark Park (ugh) in/as part of Cedar Park's Memorial Park there. It has separate areas for big and small dogs, dog wash area, a swimmin' hole and a jumpin' pier on the swimmin' hole.
No official site, so take a look at the good and the bad at http://www.yelp.com/biz/cedar-bark-park-cedar-park
