Seconded. Jerusalem has the best Middle Eastern food in Denver, bar none.

Thirded. :)

If you check in on Yelp while there you get a free baklava too.

There really isn't a greater place to go on a warm, breezy spring night and you're just a bit tipsy at one of the outside tables here with you and your friends eating shawarma.

There is a Shawarma stand in the middle of 16th street, not sure what streets it is between but it is amazing. Depending on what time you go you may have to wait in a long line to get it.

Over by the Pinkberry on Glenarm. He is delicious, cash only.

I walked by there the other day and saw credit card stickers in the window. I may be going there for lunch, will report.

That's weird, are we talking about the same place? There are two brothers running it?

Last time I was there paid with a card... :-P

Last time I was there too he took cards and they have a punch card as well. Their kebobs are awesome...and now I'm hungry. Oh and they do a pretty tasty and keep breakfast burrito.

Shondiz! http://www.shondiz.com That place is awesome. Takes some time if there is a line, though. They do take credit cards.

Shawarma stand on 16th is awesome. They take credit card, and have a phone so you can call ahead orders for no wait. Shondiz is the name, and I whole heartedly approve.

Shish Kabob Grill on Colfax and Grant if you're looking downtown. Nice family run joint with the best hummus I have ever tasted.

Mecca Grill on Downing and Alameda. Those guys are always baked but they throw together some damn good schwarma. It is best to ask them what is fresh when ordering. Ultimately, the kaftka kabab is my favorite.

Damascus or Ya Hala, they're both on Colorado south of 25. Both are good, but I'm partial to Damascus (who also have the best hummus in town for my money).

Ya Hala is great, also right across the street if you went to see the Avengers near the Colorado exit. Also, Jerusalem Cafe near DU is a good option, plus it's open late late

Don't have any personal recommendations for shawarma but there's this: http://www.yelp.com/search?find_desc=Shawarma&find_loc=Denver%2C+CO On a side note, the first time I was introduced to shawarma was via another Joss Whedon product, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode Teacher's Pet. Thought that was a crazy random happenstance.

For an entirely Americanized experience, Garbanzo isn't too bad. Presented in the same manner as Chipotle.
