I'm Jimmy Winkelman and I created The South Butt AMA (self.IAmA)
submitted 1 year ago* by jwinkelmann
My friend requested I do an AMA after seeing this TIL - http://www.reddit.com/r/todayilearned/comments/rfwpp/til_that_the_north_face_clothing_company_sued_a/
I am new to reddit but this is great keep the questions coming!
https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Butt-Face/128212270567649 THE BUTT FACE
Check out http://olopshop.com/ to see what I'm up to now.
[–]Joke_Choke 55 points56 points57 points 1 year ago
How much did you earn on The South Butt apparel before you had to shut down?
[–]jwinkelmann[S] 114 points115 points116 points 1 year ago
I prefer not give exact figures, but I will tell you that now I can pay for med school and my sister's high school and college tuitions.
[–][deleted] 78 points79 points80 points 1 year ago
[–]Whenthenighthascome 21 points22 points23 points 1 year ago
Did he steal all that money from your ass?
[–]strolls 6 points7 points8 points 1 year ago
Surely that was from the settlement itself?
What about clothing sales - was the South Butt brand itself profitable before you shut down?
[–]jwinkelmann[S] 9 points10 points11 points 1 year ago
South Butt sales far exceeded my expectations during the year of 2009-2010.
[–]IterativeLoop 4 points5 points6 points 1 year ago
Just curious - where do you go where high school has a tuition fee? Is it a private high school?
[–]jwinkelmann[S] 6 points7 points8 points 1 year ago
well i go to college now, but stl has a bunch of private high schools. Its expensive but i for sure learned more for the money.
[–]Volden 21 points22 points23 points 1 year ago
I'm assuming they didn't teach an English course.
[–]Time_for_Stories 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago
To me, this entire AMA is like nails on a chalkboard. How is it so hard to write grammatically sound sentences?
[–]Tom_Z 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
That costs extra!
[–]Chalky_White 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
Do u go to med school on the west coast?
[–][deleted] 18 points19 points20 points 1 year ago
[–]pokered 51 points52 points53 points 1 year ago
I don't really know why this distinction is even necessary. Submissions should all be labelled AMA, with the common sense assumption that some questions asked may not be answered. No one who posts an AMA will actually answer every question possible (think social security numbers, passwords, NDA's, intimate secrets not related to their noteworthiness, etc.). Likewise, someone who posts an AMAA doesn't expect redditors to read their soul and know what questions are off limits, and will simply state that they aren't going to answer that question or ignore the question if it is out of their comfort zone. I appreciate that people want to have open and honest discussion, but with a few notable exceptions, most submitters are very reasonable about answering a broad range of questions publicly.
[–]KajiKaji 7 points8 points9 points 1 year ago
Hey, He said ask him anything. He didn't say he'd answer anything. The question was asked, now feel free to ask anything else.
[–]yy633013 29 points30 points31 points 1 year ago
I want to buy some South Butt swag. I used to be/am an outdoor instructor and can honestly say that TNF has gone down in quality with every passing year. I want to rock some passive-aggressive fuck-you gear. Where can I find your awesome creation?
Also, you need to do some serious SEO on your site.
[–]jwinkelmann[S] 74 points75 points76 points 1 year ago
Well, unfortunately I personally cannot sell the South Butt passive-aggressive fuck-you gear anymore. However, it is being sold at some places online I hear and I know in St. Louis it is sold at the Mills Mall. But I am selling some new gear making fun of the preppy wearing bro douchers with my spoof on POLO called OLOP by Lalph Rauren. And to uphold our spirit of the butt we are selling another new line called The Butt Face.
[–]Whenthenighthascome 61 points62 points63 points 1 year ago
Oh god, it's like a Japanese guy tried to say "Ralph Lauren"
[–]silenc3x 5 points6 points7 points 1 year ago
I'll allow it.
[–]PubLiic 6 points7 points8 points 1 year ago
They actually can't pronounce 'L's because the Japanese language only has one liquid consonant (phoneme) 'R'. Where as English has 2, 'L' and 'R'.
During language acquisition, the Japanse never learned how to create that 'L' sound. So when they go to learn English, they substitute the closest thing they have to an 'L' which happens to be 'R'.
[–]jabroni2002 13 points14 points15 points 1 year ago
can you come to Boston College and sell some here? I don't know if you realized, but we're the doucher/lax-bro capital of the U.S.
[–]ducksauc3 5 points6 points7 points 1 year ago
Ha I think you need to check out some schools south of the mason dixon friend.

[–]domdogg123 28 points29 points30 points 1 year ago
You might want to delete this and just send him a PM instead
[–]WinkMe 4 points5 points6 points 1 year ago
I hope you know this email will become useless after this post.
[–]jwinkelmann[S] 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
i got spam filters....
[–]WinkMe 7 points8 points9 points 1 year ago
Well, I hope your spam filters are amazingly powerful. Because they will be tested. Full on.
Expect: Gay porn, child porn, cat facts, dog facts, porn facts, car fax and so much more.
[–]silenc3x 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
[–]jwinkelmann[S] 5 points6 points7 points 1 year ago
also the amount of contacts I will make with this is worth it
[–]Tholem 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
Apparently you never went to Mizzou (university of Missouri)
[–]yy633013 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago
I saw the butt face gear and I am hopping on board. Any way you guys start making "tech" shirts out of dri-fit/poly type material that I can take into the backcountry?
[–]jwinkelmann[S] 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
Since the companies are just getting started we are keeping our variety limited to keep cost down. But we defiantly plan on moving to more advanced polymer based materials for future products.
[–]irisher 6 points7 points8 points 1 year ago
I was going to correct you about defiantly but I realized I like your way better.
yea the other way is a bit too complicated and I feel like spell check likes it more
[–]yy633013 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
That's awesome to hear I'd love to get some of those when they come on the market. I'll bookmark your site and check back. Thank you, you're awesome for doing this.
[–]jwinkelmann[S] 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago
No problem, and thank you for the support!
[–]JediMasterSam 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
Tractor Supply and some farm supply stores in the towns surrounding STL still sell it.
My mom bought me my shirt and hoodie back when it first got started. Glad to hear you're doing well.
[–]danceydancetime 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
You don't fear another lawsuit from Ralph Lauren?
[–]pumpkinpiexx 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
Holy fuck Mills Mall is still open? I remember it being awesome for a year and then ending up like larger Crestwood mall
Yea that place really took a dive, I used to go there all the time when it first opened for the skate park.
[–]Mioby 3 points4 points5 points 1 year ago
I chuckled really hard at this comment. Why? Because I am surrounded by the stereotype around me as I type this. I also own multitudes of POLO shirts. I appreciate this so much, I am gonna go ahead and order a couple shirts and see if my buddies notice.
Haha do it. Not only will u create some laughs but draw some attention from girls for not going along with the band waggin.
[–]IamGrimReefer 11 points12 points13 points 1 year ago
may god have mercy on your future patients.....
[–]jwinkelmann[S] 4 points5 points6 points 1 year ago
Sorry my android touch screen tends to be unforgiving.
[–]pussifer 5 points6 points7 points 1 year ago
I noticed you "defiantly" plan on getting more advanced fabrics in the future, too. :D
[–]jwinkelmann[S] 7 points8 points9 points 1 year ago
Sorry my spelling is terrible I know, but I will "definitely" solve some biofluid dynamics problems for you.
[–]titanium89 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
Could I "bate" so feverishly as to launch clue goo into the future using only mechanical input? or would I need a clue goo accelerator?
[–]pussifer 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
I don't know about you, but my biofluid dynamics are fine. I'll look for your research results after my prostate swells to the size of a softball!
[–]Iamsacdaddy 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
How are u planning not to get into legal trouble again?
[–]jwinkelmann[S] 35 points36 points37 points 1 year ago
My goal is to make money...
[–]chaynes 16 points17 points18 points 1 year ago
A true dirty businessman. I like it.
[–]Suppafly 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
He didn't really get into 'legal trouble', North Face sued him, and then settled out of court by paying him lots of money because they were in the wrong.
[–]79augold 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
Makes me proud to be from the Lou.
[–]jwhardcastle 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
Because it isn't immediately available on a Google Search:
the site right now is just the shopping cart. I know it looks shitty but we are making a nice new pretty opening page.
Not so much the design-- I'm sorry if that came off as offensive by the way. What I'm talking about is your simple title tag, meta structure, website visibility and search ranking. Sorry I do this for a living now so I wanted to give you a heads up. Read up on SEOmoz.com for basic tips (I am in no way affiliated with them, it's free).
[–]jwinkelmann[S] 3 points4 points5 points 1 year ago
Thanks for the tip, I am a biomedical engineer so I dont know too much about website design haha. We do pay someone to do that stuff though so I better get on his ass.
[–]tw0bears 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago
If you're looking for another web designer hit me up... I can do a lot better than what you currently have.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
I work in marketing and I honestly don't think SEO matters that much at this point
I'm not sure I understand where you are coming from. Inbound marketing, an overarching marketing strategy which involves organic traffic aggregation vis a vis SEO, Social Media, CRO, etc, is an incredibly profitable and more effective strategy than traditional advertising via TV, Print, Radio. All current market research from sources like emarketer, forrester, etc point to a dramatic shift away from traditional banner digital advertising along with TV, Print, and Radio and into inbound advertising via organic channels and social media.
In short, if he wants a long term strategy and longevity in the marketplace, SEO, and more so, Inbound Marketing is the logical solution.
Source: I work for a full service media agency catering to enterprise level clientele.

Who is this haha?

[–]jwinkelmann[S] 27 points28 points29 points 1 year ago
We had an amicable agreement, no further comment...sorry.
[–]Roblicious 7 points8 points9 points 1 year ago
THE MAN SAID NO FURTHER COMMENT
[–]Soyance 3 points4 points5 points 1 year ago
FALSE! He also said "sorry". Get your facts straight, boy.
[–]ReadThisIfYoureGay 3 points4 points5 points 1 year ago
but he definitely did say no further comment
[–]Peeonmyface 9 points10 points11 points 1 year ago
I'm jealous. Not of your money or fame or whatever, but rather the sheer fact that you came up with the phrase "The South Butt" before I did.
[–]jwinkelmann[S] 10 points11 points12 points 1 year ago
Well actually there were quite a few people before me that came up with the idea but were contacted by "the company" and gave up. However, my idea came up at the family kitchen table without having any prior knowledge about the previous others.

[–]rumpdadarumprump 23 points24 points25 points 1 year ago
You don't seem like a very nice person.
[–]Lochsexmonster 5 points6 points7 points 1 year ago
Why can you get away with selling 'butt face' stuff and not 'south butt'?
Well we are an entirley different company now who manages and owns TBF and OLOP, so we are not invovled with the previous settlement.
[–]rumpdadarumprump 11 points12 points13 points 1 year ago
so...does this mean you're going to get sued again eventually? What will you do then?
[–]NSNick 6 points7 points8 points 1 year ago
Probably the same thing as last time, which I'm assuming is get paid to shut down your business via settlement.
[–]tbends 5 points6 points7 points 1 year ago
As a 16 year old how did you come up with enough cash to start a clothing company? (I have no idea how much money it would cost to start something like that but I'm assuming there are some start up costs?)
[–]Vive_Ut_Vivas 7 points8 points9 points 1 year ago*
He went to a prep school where tuition was $15k/yr, and he said he's doing research at Harvard over the summer. My guess is he probably comes from a "family of means," so to speak...
[–]rolldeep 3 points4 points5 points 1 year ago
If you're just starting by printing onto t shirts and such. You can probably start on about $100. Have a look at screen printing.
Luckily I had a god father who had a companay that put company logos on pens and t shirts, but still a website and if u keep ur ineventory low initially it does not recquire that much initial expenses.
[–]eandi 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
I can second this, started up my own in highschool with $5,000 and minimal web skills. Way to go building yours up, though.
[–]sappercon 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago
Are you outsourcing production to India?
[–]jwinkelmann[S] -5 points-4 points-3 points 1 year ago
Unfortunately no...trying to make US customers happy and have myself be able to sleep at night. But someday I hope to go global with shipping.
[–]PrancingPudu 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago
sappercon wasn't asking if you shipped internationally to customers, but if you were having your clothing physically made/produced in India...as opposed to having it made in the US or China.
[–]daggius 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago
Yer name reminds me of those crybabies who sued facebook five times
[–]yy633013 4 points5 points6 points 1 year ago
Also, is this the official commercial? Makes me want it even more.
O its official alright
[–]purpleblazed 6 points7 points8 points 1 year ago
Shameless & obvious marketing ploy. Get outta here.
[–]GatticusFinch 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
I'm not sure you can talk about this, but--did you give South Butt to North Face as part of the settlement? Was this just a mutual release, go-our-separate-ways settlement, or did they give you an incentive to settle since your parody defense was, imo, pretty solid?
[–]jwinkelmann[S] -3 points-2 points-1 points 1 year ago
sorry no comment.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
Was this a, just for fun thing, or an actual business you planned on doing?
I was in it from the start to make some cash and create some laughs
What's it like dealing with garment and apparel manufacturers who are generally across the planet?
How do you pick and ensure the quality of your stuff? Eyeball it?
What do you do to keep yourself interested and learning new stuff?
[–]jwinkelmann[S] -2 points-1 points0 points 1 year ago
Currently my mind has been more interested in the biomedical engineering field...mainly biomaterial fabrication and biomedical optics in regards to diagnostics, but I try to keep myself updated on new materials/prices and I am constantly trying to get my products sent to me for verification/approval. However, this has proven to be somewhat difficult due being at college and I am attempting to try to improve my methods of verification and description and implementing/ developing of new products.
[–]thebabewiththepower 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
I was an Apparel Marketing and Design major, for my fashion marketing class, I had to do a small report on something controversial in the retail world. I chose to do my report on South Butt, which my class really enjoyed. My professor predicted you would likely get squashed by North Face. Very glad to see you're still going strong!
What suggestions would you have for starting a clothing business? Things to avoid?
[–]jwinkelmann[S] -4 points-3 points-2 points 1 year ago
Make it creative and appealing, use social marketing techniques to your advantage.
In regards to parodies, for sure have a trademark lawyer file your trademark to avoid stupid mistakes like I did. Other than that as long as your trademark does not blatantly copy their logo your in the clear!
[–]arnoldsome 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
When are you going to be releasing the Olop polo's. I'm wearing my Ralph Lauren right now and frankly, I am tired of it. Usually when my bro's and I are chillin with a couple Nati's we discuss polo's and I want something interesting to the mix.
Well when you are done ballin' with your bros and natty light bottles we have some collared shirts on our webpage olopshop.com that you should for sure check out.
[–]arnoldsome 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
Ah I missed that. I was checking the facebook page and only saw the T-Shirts. This is definitely going to help me pull some slam pieces. Thanks bro, will update on the progress.
Another question, are the logo's/emblem's small like the ones on the RL polo's are they the bigger type?
[–]VoRicebowl 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
How was life after you finally got through court?
great full of booze and girls...could not ask for more.
[–]BIG_TONY_TALK 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
By girls, you mean your grandma?
By booze, you mean your grandma's sloe gin stash you've been refilling with maraschino cherry juice?
[–]ghostskwid 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
what companies do your printing and supply?
[–]bill_fish 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
This AMA is for the birds.
[–]goldenmushrooms 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
why the fuck is it illegal for you to do that? is my question
some crazy law was invented back in the early 2000s basically eliminating the possibilities for parodies to exist. Thats why my case had a chance of going to the Supreme Court.
[–]beepup 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
ever looked into different countries and there being more possibilities, e.g. germany? wasnt there a "jesus is my BOSS" shirt? not sure if they got sued, but it was big as well.
[–]IslaNublar 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
Do you know which law this is? I'd like to read about it..
[–]billiammacD 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
oh and i really don't think you're very clever for a chaminade alum
[–]madcapbrett 8 points9 points10 points 1 year ago
Instead of making parody's of other clothing companies, why don't you make your own. To be honest your work seems cheap and shoddy.
[–]jwinkelmann[S] 20 points21 points22 points 1 year ago
I am in it for the laughs and I myself think the quality is fine for the exploration of malls and coffee shops.
[–]Whenthenighthascome 3 points4 points5 points 1 year ago
Which is what people do with North Face anyways, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you because you made a great thing even if it did get shut down. I heard about you and your story earlier this year and I'm glad to say most preppy kids wearing North Faces have gone. Now just for those Beats by Dre.
[–]ScrubTutor 6 points7 points8 points 1 year ago
Possible parody: Dres by Dr. Beat?
I have no idea why TNF settled. Their lawyers could have burned you to the ground. Eventually, you'll learn TM laws the hard way.
[–]c4ptainmorgan 3 points4 points5 points 1 year ago
You used to work in the room across from my lab, you were always being really loud and talking about yourself endlessly.
[–]reptomin 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
I found your joke to be lame. I'm shocked you won but I don't care too much. Butt. Haha. haha. ha.
GET IT? I PUT BUTT IN THE PLACE OF ANOTHER WORD. LOL. HIGH FIVE
[–]About4Quid 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
My friend has a backpack and jacket of yours... he's gained some popularity around our school
[–]jwinkelmann[S] -6 points-5 points-4 points 1 year ago
That tends to happen with our products
hey i went to high school with you, whatever
[–]sextopia 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
Did you create the brand just to be a hilarious ass hole that would have to be paid to end it, or was it a serious business idea? Either way I admire the hell out of your genius.
I would say it was a hilarious business idea that I took seriously after it starting making a bunch of money due to events occurring outside of my control.
[–]IAmJBear -3 points-2 points-1 points 1 year ago*
For anyone interested, his products now as well as his logo now are nothing like what they were. The North Face was pursuing legal action because he (you Jimmy) was copying their products almost to a t and had the exact same logo, except it was upside down.
To be honest man, you disgust me. You got big off of someone else's idea, and I mean it when I say that your shameless tactics define the word coward for me. You know what you did is wrong, and don't try to defend it with all this "Oh it's just a parody" bullshit. Hopefully one day you'll grow up.
[–]eggsupreme 21 points22 points23 points 1 year ago
I don't think the point of The South Butt was to take The North Face's brilliant "logo" or "design" and use it to get "big". I think it was initially created to make fun of the northface which had an absurd rise in popularity amongst young people in recent years. To me it's an artful "fuck you" overpriced clothing labels in general. I don't think it was ever supposed to fool anyone for the real thing, I think the Kroger brand oreos are more of a "cowardly act" than the South butt by your definition. What is so sacred about the North Face that it can never be submitted to mockery? To me the Southbutt is just that, a mockery of the North Face, the one thing over esthetic or functionality that The North Face products themselves can't ever provide. In that sense, the two products are completely different, The Northface catering to one subculture and The southbutt catering to the antithesis of that.
[–]DMagnific 3 points4 points5 points 1 year ago
Jesus, how much sand is in your vagina? If making a product that's similar to an existing one is such a big deal then you've got a bone to pick with quite a few retailers. The guy made money off of a trend. OH SHIT, LET'S GO BITCH OUT NIKE FOR RIPPING OFF CHUCK TAYLOR'S HIGH TOP BASKETBALL SHOES CIRCA 1930
[–]ragemonger 3 points4 points5 points 1 year ago
Parody =/= Knockoff.
[–]CarnivorousAvenger 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
I think each product apeals to two different markets. Someone who thinks the knockoff if comical will buy it. While the same (usually frat douche, but not always) will pay at least $100 bucks for a real one. I don't think he really hurt them to much.
[–]IamA_Big_Fat_Phony 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
It's people like you that allow monopolies to gain power. It is irrelevant how he "copied" North Face's clothing layout. It is important though how he was sued for what is essentially nothing but an ego trip by North Face.
Lacoste, Ralph Lauren, Burberry, Izod, and countless other companies all sell a singled color collared shirt with a logo on the top left.
Is there a likeness? Definitely yes. Is this an infringement? Absolutely No.
Also you misused the word coward.
[–]GoopyCheese 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
Good God, this is the weirdest thing ever. Literally 20 minutes ago I was tellin my sister, "did you know that some 16 year old kid made a brand called The South Butt? Except he got sued by those dirtbags The North Face." I hadn't read that TIL post yesterday, I was basing what I was saying off my research of your company a few months back. I saw this hood rat wearing a South Butt t-shirt and I went home and Googled it. What a coincidence.
[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 1 year ago
How are the North Face dirtbags for trying to protect their intellectual property?
[–]ATI_nerd 6 points7 points8 points 1 year ago
Because the South Butt is not their property and obvious parody is obvious?
[–]SpartaWillBurn 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
You seem like a douche. Consider me to never buy anything from you.
Are you aware that all butts are, in fact, South?
[–]the_phoenix612 3 points4 points5 points 1 year ago
Well not all...there are always those girls out there who are everything buttherface
[–]danceydancetime 4 points5 points6 points 1 year ago
I don't think you know how the butherface thing works
[–]myreddituser 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
Glad to see a fellow Chaminade grad on reddit.
[–]BrittForte 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
Will the South Butt ever be restarted? Or have the lawsuits from the North Face completly shut you down? I'm in a business law class in my high school and we did a mini pick trail as the North Face and the South Butt. I still have a lot of questions about the trial.
[–]sometimes_a_monkey 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
Did you go to Egremont? Assuming your Chaminade is the one in SoCal.
[–]jose_jones 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
how come every crew member on a film/tv shoot is always running around in a North Face jacket...WTF!!!??
Probably because it keeps you warm. Trick question?
[–]BaconPotPie 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
It's sad because I've met Doug Tompkins, the founder of North Face, who sold it YEARS ago...l he could out mountaineer anyone on reddit I'd wager....
But at this point he's got bigger fish to fry than his yesterday company.
[–]jwinkelmann[S] -1 points0 points1 point 1 year ago
Due to my roommate being a connoisseur of climbing, I have seen many documentaries on the guy. He is awesome. However, VF does not seem to have much knowledge about the climbing world.

Hey, you went to Chaminade! I went to Crossroads (I'm sure you don't know about it. It was tiny.) But I had friends at Chaminade. I graduated in '08. Cool, bro.

I always thought it was called the South Butte. Gotta keep those mountaineering puns going
I dont understand why the north face were told to find an agreement. i thought it seemed like a clear case because at least the logo was very similar. any info on why it wasnt a clear case of some sort of infringement? was it because everything was "upside down" or because you were protected since it's sort of a parody?

Can I work for you somehow?

Is it worth it?

Are your hoodies comfortable? And is shipping to Canada expensive?

I'm sure everyone has had funny ideas to kind of 'mimick' a company (e.g. making a burger queen, poop tarts, etc.), what made you go through with this and ACTUALLY make it a company?
[–]That_Asshole_ 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
I find it funny that you try and make fun of douche bags yet you appear to be one of them, if your internet persona is any indication.
[–]MaoTsetung 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
You fucking rock! I was looking for your clothes after seeing the topic here yesterday, I found them on Ebay. You need to sell them again because I want some.
[–]mkahn15 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
What is your website?
[–]TheMaskedHamster 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
How did--er, do--you promote your clever brands?
It's one thing to come up with clever products and have those products made, but successful promotion, well, that's a process that seems to elude me.

Hey one of my old work buddies had a south butt hat was always jealous of it. shitty to see you got shut down but glad you an help out yourself and your family, hopefully it was worth it
[–]lets_discuss_butts 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
Initially I was really excited. Thought we were gonna discuss some Brazilian anal. Then I was just 'meh'
[–]JoshuaShelley 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
I totally just found The South Butt's Wikipedia article on accident earlier today. What a coincidence.
What would it take to get a free OLAP shirt sent to me in Canada? I perform virtual sexual favours... but I'm a fat hairy dude, your call.
Ill think about it, but currently our products are not shipped internationally due to cost issues.
I would love you forever and ever. Shipping internationally as a company is a bitch, I'll give you that. Either way, I love that logo.
If your in the St Louis or Kansas City area I am sure I can find something for you. What's ur major/ experience?

Ever thought of spoofing footwear, like Sperrys maybe? That shit's all over Mizzou right now.
Shoes are difficult to manufacture but currently ideas are in the works and we are attempting to overcome these obstacles

i just thought that you should know that i like your sense of humor, and also the fact that i heard about your stuff before the rest of the nation. usually kc is fairly behind trends so kudos on that point and keep up the good work i look forward to getting many more cheap giggles out of your merch and one day when i become a trillionaire, or finish college or whatever i'll probably purchase some myself.
[–]falco_brawler 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
Where'd you get the really creative idea for your logo?
[–]hezex 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
A few days ago in my Calculus class, my teacher noticed a classmate with a South Butt Sweatshirt. Needless to say our class got sidetracked for a few minutes.
