You're not selling it.

I like the crime aspect and the mystery, not the misery.

Is it worth bothering to keep watching?

Oh it's absolutely worth watching -- didn't mean to come off so negative. Season 2 is thus far very good...lots of "oh sheeeittt" moments pertaining to things from season 1.

Really? I'm at the point where if they don't figure this shit out soon I'm just going to stop watching. I thought the writers said we'd have a conclusion to Rosie's story a few episodes into season 2, now we're almost at the end and they're still dragging it along.

I'm no longer sold on the characters either. The Larson's are getting boring, and Linden is beyond annoying at this point. The only character that keeps me going is Holder and the Lieutenant.

I'd say season 2 is worse than season 1, and season 1 started to drag midway through.

With S2, they originally came out and said the Larsen case would be "wrapped up" around E4 and they would introduce a new murder. They later scrapped this plan and came out and said they identity of Rosie's killer would be revealed in the S2 Finale.

I guess that gives them more time to figure out where they're taking this show...if another season is greenlit. I have a feeling AMC is just allowing them to finish the Larsen murder before they cancel the series (I have no evidence, it's just a feeling based off of nothing).

The family eventually becomes less depressing and more annoying. Bad decisions on nearly everyone's part, I get that they are all dealing with Rosie's death in their own ways but it feels like they're pushing these characters to such an extreme that every time you see them on screen you think "what stupid shit are they going to do now?!"

That's my wife's Aunt. The whole family was deeply affected, and this trial has dragged on for far to long (although last week her husband was tried guilty for first degree, life in prison without parole!!) and has even caused a rift in the family. But her children were taken care of and paid attention to, no one went on a blaming spree, and no one else was hurt.

I think my problem with the show is that it goes to the extreme with everything. The parents are neglecting their kids, Mom ran off, Dad can barely manage to speak with his children without yelling at them for something completely random, and their aunt came in, but she really doesn't have what it takes to manage two kids. That's just a few of the problems these characters have. I'd rather just skip watching the Larsen family and just watch the case work and political stuff.

I guess I'm just bored of the show...my wife has given up on it and won't watch it anymore, and I'm nearly at that point as well.

I'm sure everyone will have their gripe over the parents. On the opposite end, If they weren't so extreme about their actions I'm sure people would say that they were just dead weight to the story. It's entertainment mate. You wouldn't want to miss the ending because it just makes spending all those hours watching the series pointless.

I watched the whole first season in like 14 hours. I felt so drained afterward, but so rewarded. I was immediately interested in the second season, which was thankfully only a week or two away at the time.

The only reason I continue to watch the show is cause I just want to finish it.

This show feels like it was meant to be 1 season. Its concise, makes sense, was well written. Season 2 definitely feels tacked on, they really drag it out. I would stop at the season 1 finale and call it good.

Season 2 isn't on Netflix, so I stopped at 1. I think you're right though. I'll just leave it there.
