I'm working as an event manager for a nonprofit, and I'm curious what peoples' thoughts are on the similarities between event manager and project manager? I think they're similar enough that I'm considering pursuing a certification in project management, but I wanted to know if /r/nonprofit thought that was a bad or silly idea.
