Maybe they are inflating the numbers to justify the H1-B request they are trying to get through congress now.

Do you think BBC's new 24 hour news channel will change things?

Little known fact: Hillary Clinton served on the Wal-Mart board of directors from 1986 to 1992.

Does Hillary support an increase in the number of H1-b visas? Does she support enforcing the rules around the use of H1-b visas?

Ask Reddit: As a 16 yr old, I will be looking into colleges soon and setting the foundation for the rest of my life. Is there anything you wish you knew at my age?

"Happiness is a choice." That is the best nugget of truth I have read so far on this board. It was the hardest one for me to learn and to accept. I wasn't happy not because of the amount of money I made, the wife I had, the promotion I was passed up on, or the business that failed; those things happen to everyone. It was because I never knew how to look at the positive side of things; I only saw failure even when everyone else saw success. You need to choose to be positive and to be positive is to be happy.

Should a statistical mean derived from personal observations be acted upon? Can the sample size be large enough or diverse enough to come up a with a statistical mean that is meaningful? I doubt it.

"'He could be making $50,000, $60,000, $70,000 a year at a mansion in Bel-Air with museum-quality furnishings rather than cooped up as a $9-an-hour computer programmer in a cubicle in Mid-Wilshire,' says Baker, who started his company in 2004 after a stint as a recruiter for a search firm." Is this the reputation of software developers these days? I doubt it, but I thought I would ask.

Maybe because you do not need to worry about the upper bound if the applicant does not have family responsibilities?

Besides, he recognizes that age is a number and does not reflect maturity. Who's to say a forty-five year old couldn't have the passion, ideas and drive of a twenty-three year old founder.

I think this administration has shown us how completing an Ivy League education signifies a privileged upbringing much more than any innate intelligence. I believe this was always the case, but it is much more obvious with these fools.

If the majority wanted it to stop they would have done so by now. The majority is not sure what to do and therefore allowing the minorities to take control through there indecision. I therefore hold the WHOLE population accountable on both sides, regardless as to whether a "small minority of people" are creating the issues. I feel the same way about the United States. The United States elected this current administration twice and therefore ALL the citizens of the United States are accountable for its actions.

If you are curious, I am a citizen of the United States born in the beautiful state of New Jersey.
